Sienna's 1st Primary Program

A while back Sienna had her first primary program.  She did great.  She had her part memorized.  She sang the songs really good.  And she was really cute!  She loves primary.

Carter @ 16 months

Carter is 16 months.  They say he's small for his age.  He sure is crazy.  He's always has bruises somewhere on his body.  He loves to play rough but he sure is sweet too.  He gives out lots of kisses.  He loves to dance and sometimes sings.  He won't talk.  The only thing he says is "all" for ball and hi.  He's starting to try to say cheese when he takes pictures.  He just says eeee.  He's into everything.  He finds highlighters and draws on his face.  He climbs on the table and chairs constantly.  He climbs on the couch and from one to the other.  He destroys the bathrooms and plays in the toilet.  He loves to play with balls and to play outside.  I guess he's a normal boy but we're just learning what it's like to have a toddler boy around the house.  He loves his sister and usually follows her around during the day.  He won't sit in the cart at the store for long so I've gotten used to holding him and pushing the cart at the same time usually with Sienna in it.  I just consider it part of my work out.  His hair is so blonde and it just sticks straight up.  We usually keep it pretty short.
A week or so before Ron and Marlene left on their mission we went to Culver's for ice cream.  Carter was laying on the table with a spoon and taking bites out of everyone's ice cream.  He was loving it.

Sienna starts Preschool!

On September 4th we went to meet Sienna's teachers and see her preschool.  She was so excited and was counting down the days.  She got all dressed up with jewelry and lip gloss.  Her preschool is at a lady's house and it's really good.  She has a lot of experience and is really nice.

Carter wanted in on the picture.
The next day was her actual first day of school.  She was SO excited.  She'd been waiting for this day for a long time.  She wasn't nervous or scared at all.  When we got in the car to take her she said, "I can't believe I'm going to school.  I'm actually in school now!"

She had a cute dress on that Grandma Lynn had bought her and her Hello Kitty backpack that Grandma Moore had bought her.  She went to school just fine and wasn't nervous at all.  I was a little nervous and sad.  It was weird dropping her off somewhere and just leaving without her.  Me and this little girl are not apart very much.  Then I realized how fast it went by and it's kind of nice to just have time with Carter.
This was after school.  She was so hyped up and silly.
She said, "I love school!"  She's been so excited to go every time.  She's such a good girl and is growing up fast.

Beach Day!

The day after California Adventure we went to Huntington Beach.  We made it there by lunch time and we ate at a restaurant on the beach called Sandy's.  We sat outside and had some good fish tacos.  Then we walked down to the beach.
Carter loved being able to play in the sand all he wanted.
Sienna wanted to try out the water but it was pretty cold and the waves kinda scared her at first.
She said I'm outta here.  She eventually went back in and my dad and Garrett were helping her jump over the waves and she had a lot of fun.  She was freezing but didn't want to come out of the water.
The kids and my dad made sand castles.
Carter tried out the water but wasn't really into it.

Sienna had sand everywhere after she got dunked by a wave.  She wore her glasses like this for a long time too.

Carter was a good boy and had a good nap.
Then he woke up for more playtime.

We just relaxed on the beach.  It was not hot or very busy so we stayed a long time.  The kids didn't get sunburned at all but I got really burned.  The kids were really good.  We went home and got showers and then went out to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner.  My parents and Garrett got crab legs of course but I don't like crab so I got the salmon.  There was a guy there that made the coolest balloon animals we had ever seen.  Sienna got an octopus with bubbles coming off of it and Carter got a monkey climbing up a tree with bananas hanging from it.  They were really cute.  We came home the next morning so we had to bring the balloons with us.  Sienna's was huge and my mom had it by her legs the whole trip.  What a good Grandma.  When we got home the kids never played with them again but I guess that's how it goes.  We can't wait to go back to California again!

California Adventure

After our day at Disneyland we went to California Adventure.  The first thing we did is get fast passes for the World of Color and the Radiator Springs Racers.  Then we headed to Car's Land.  It was really cool.  It looked just like Radiator Springs in the movie.  Sienna and I waited in line first for Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.  It was about a 30 minute wait I think but it was ok.  Garrett caught up with us at the front of the line so he could go with us.  Then we got a stroller pass and after the three of us went, my mom and Sienna got to go again.
We saw Donald Duck and he was pretty silly.  He was trying to get in our stoller.

In A Bug's Land they had this thing with water coming down and Carter had fun playing in it.

We got in our spot and waited for World of Color for over an hour.  If we knew what to expect more we could have gotten a better spot but we were able to see it fine.  It was really cool.
After that our fast pass for Radiator Springs Racers was finally good.  Garrett, Sienna, and I got in line.  My parents took Carter who was sleeping and headed back to the hotel.  We had to wait about 25 minutes in the fast pass line.  The lines for that ride are crazy.  It was really fun though.
 Radiator Springs
The three of us headed back to the hotel after that.  Sienna fell asleep and we didn't have a stroller so me and Garrett took turns carrying her on the way back.  It was mostly Garrett.  She is heavy and our feet were so tired from walking.  We got back to the hotel at about 10:30 and crashed.

Disneyland 2012!

We made a countdown chain 30 days before we went and every day Sienna would take a ring off and then she would let Carter throw it in the trash.  We were so excited.  We looked at Disneyland stuff a lot on the internet so she couldn't wait to go.
At the end of August we went to California with my parents.  We drove and got there Monday evening.  We stayed really close so we walked down to Downtown Disney and ate dinner and went to a shop.  The first thing Sienna wanted to get was her Minnie ears.  We got her name put on the back of them and she loved them.
Tuesday morning, ready for Disneyland!

We had breakfast at the Paradise Pier with the characters.  It was Surf's Up with Mickey and friends.  It was fun to be able to do this and the breakfast was good.
We saw Max.
Carter gave him five.
Max tickling Carter
Carter getting shy.
 Stitch.
 Loving on Pluto.
 Sienna loved seeing Minnie.

It was pretty hot when we were there but it could've been worse.  It was nice in the evenings.
Our first ride.  Sienna decided the first one would be Dumbo.

 Toontown.

Me and Sienna at Minnie's house.
 Mickey's house.

Sienna liked going on this "pirate ship".  She said we were sailing the seas.
The jungle cruise.  For whatever reason Sienna says she's on Grandpa's team even though she loves her Grandma.  She loves to tease her with Grandpa.  She says that Carter is on Grandma's team.  Sienna and Grandpa like to call Grandma, "Granny".  My mom pretends to get mad and she thinks it's hilarious.

The kids both really liked It's a Small World.
We had so much fun on Splash Mountain.  Sienna is way more brave than I was at her age.  She said it was scary fun.  The worker asked Garrett if he wanted to sit in the back with her and she said she wanted to be in front.  She's so fun.  We got on Pirates of the Caribbean and at first when it was going really slow she said, "boring!".  She likes the exciting rides.
We didn't quite make it for the Fantasmic show or the fireworks.  We were too busy trying to fit in all the rides we wanted to go on.  We saw part of the fireworks but Sienna had already crashed.  On the walk home Carter fell asleep on Garrett.  We stayed til about ten.  We had so much fun!  We were all worn out.
