9 months

Our baby is 9 months old! She went to the dr. and she weighs 18 lbs 10 oz and she's 27 1/2 in. long. She's finally started really scooting around. She doesn't crawl on her hands and knees though. She can get around pretty good though. We thought she was going to be immobile forever. She has two teeth. She also has all kinds of new funny tricks.

Garrett's Birthday/Easter

Yesterday was Garrett's 26th birthday. He hasn't gone back to work since his surgery so he was lucky to have the day off. Friday night we had dinner at El Charro with my family. Saturday we went to a party for Chase, Garrett's nephew who turns one on the 14th, then Garrett, Darren, Alan, and Ron went to fry mesa to fish even though it was really cold and windy. Sienna and I went to my mom's and dyed easter eggs with my Mom, Dad, and Lyndsey. Sienna liked the eggs. When she would hold them she would squeeze them and they cracked. Then that night we had dinner at Garrett's parents. Also there were Darren, Ashley and kids and Alan. It was such a good dinner and Marlene made Garrett's favorite German Chocolate cake. Then today for Easter we ate at Garrett's parents before church and my Grandma's after church. We had a weekend full of good food, family, and watching the Masters. I've learned quite a bit about golf this weekend. Garrett had a good birthday and a good weekend before having to go back to work Monday.

Garrett's surgery

Last Monday Garrett got surgery to fix his torn acl. It had been over 2 months since he hurt it. We had to be at the hospital at 6:15 and he finally got to leave around 2. The first few days he was in a lot of pain but now he's doing better. He still has to use his crutches to walk. He mostly sits in his recliner to ice and elevate his knee. It has been hard trying to take care of him and Sienna at the same time but we've had a lot of help from both of our moms. Garrett has been able to help me with Sienna by feeding her and she hangs out with him in his recliner. She has become such a cuddler lately. She just lays her head down on us all the time. She is such a sweetheart.

Phoenix Zoo

Garrett's brother Camron and his family came down to Mesa last week from Oregon so we all met up and went to the zoo. We went up Wednesday night and spent some time with Camron's family and Garrett's parents at their condo. It was getting late so we went to find our hotel. It was in south Scottsdale, kind of close to where we used to live, but it took us a while to find it. Garrett went to check in and it took him a long time so I figured something was wrong. He came back to the car frustrated and told me that they didn't have any king beds available and we would just have one queen. We already know that we all 3 can't comfortably sleep in a queen bed and they won't let us upgrade because we got the room on priceline. Then we get in the room and it gets worse. The room was really small, smelled like a smoking room, everytime you got on the bed it made a really loud sound, it just wasn't a nice room...at all. When Garrett was checking in he told the lady that we have an 8 month old and we need two beds or at least a couch or something. Her solution was that Sienna could sleep in a drawer! Yeah, then she brought us some extra blankets and pillows and offered us a box that we would have to tape up, for her to sleep in. She also suggested putting her in the closet to sleep. I think she really was trying to help, she was just crazy! She must not have kids. I hope. It ended up not being that bad even though Garrett ended up sleeping on the floor and everytime I moved during the night it made a really loud noise. We got up early and left anyways. We met the family at the zoo and had a fun day. Sorry this post got really long but I had to write about the hotel. I just kept laughing that night because I felt like we were in a movie or something. It was a funny night to remember. Sienna's first night in a hotel. We said no more 2 star hotels. There is a time to be cheap and that wasn't it.

Swimming

A few Saturday's ago it was really warm and Garrett gets off work early on Saturday's so we decided to try out Sienna's swimming pool. We had just got grass a few days before so we had a place to put her pool. It was her first time in her swimming suit so of course we took lots of pictures.
