Garrett started school in August. He's taking one morning class and one online class. So far, so good. I'm trying to start working out. I'm sick of this belly that's leftover from being pregnant with Sienna. So hopefully I can keep it up. I've realized that I'm really out of shape! And this is what Sienna has been up to...
...making messes! She loves to tear up stuff and pull all of our shoes off the shelves. She does it every chance she gets. It's a good thing she's cute.
How can you resist this face? She knows if she does something wrong, she puckers up and gives us a kiss. It's so cute. She amazes us everyday at how smart she is. She is always trying to say new words and copy everything we do. Tonight we were watching So You Think You Can Dance and she saw the people tap dancing and she started tapping her feet on the floor. She also puts everything on the floor in her toy box.
If we can't find something, it's usually in here. Today she's 14 mos! She has been sleeping so bad lately. Last week she had a stuffed up nose so she couldn't breathe at night and suck her pacifier. So she was waking up a couple times a night and I had to rock her back to sleep because she couldn't go back to sleep on her own. Now, the last couple of nights, she's been sleeping bad and waking up for no apparent reason! We've been only letting her take one nap so she'll go to sleep earlier. If we let her take two she doesn't want to go to sleep until almost midnight. So she's been going to sleep in between 9 and 10. Before we go to bed she wakes up at least a couple times and we have to go in there and comfort her and she goes back to sleep. Then the rest of the night she's all over me and needs my hair to fall asleep. Last night, or I guess this morning, she woke up at 4:30 and didn't go back to sleep until 6! I tried everything I could think of and at 6, she finally went back to sleep. She wasn't crying or anything she was just awake. And we don't usually wake up until at least 8. I don't know what her deal is. I know I need to get her to sleep in her crib at night. She takes naps in there during the day just fine. It's just so hard. I guess we've created a nighttime monster because she sleeps in our bed and she can't go to sleep by herself. Being a parent is just so hard sometimes! I guess I needed to vent a little about her sleeping! I wasn't planning on this being such a long post. If anyone has any advice, it's welcome.
Have you tried moving her to her bed after she falls asleep? Also, when Rachel was that age I had to start giving her a sippy cup of water to take to bed because she would wake up thirsty. She might be getting mollers too? Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteHow can you not cuddle up with her?!?! She is so stinkin cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe just let the boys cry when we wanted them to stay in their bed. If they woke up in the middle of the night and wanted out we would check on them and as long as they were physically okay we would not pick them up and would just tell them its still nighty sleep time and leave their room. they would cry for a little bit but they would put themselves back to sleep. Coming to the bed just cant be an option. But it is definitely hard to stick with it...Ashton has been terrible lately too and usually crawls into bed with us around 5 or 6 every morning! But you are right...i probably couldnt kick Sienna out with a face like hers either...she is baby magazine beautiful! good luck!
ReplyDeleteNow multiply by three!! That's my life!! SO FUN (said sarcastically) !!! And it gets worse the older they get because they can climb better and reach thing that are higher!! HAHA!! But she is DEFINITELY a CUTIE PIE!!
ReplyDeleteYou're a GREAT Mom, Kortney. You do everything you possibly can to be the best Mom you can be. Yes, she needs to go to her crib at night for the good of all 3 of you. You'll feel like a mean mom and first, but it'll be so worth it. Love ya! Ma Sparks
