Big Lake

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday we were in Big Lake with Garrett's parents. They took their toy hauler up there and we brought up their rhino. They go fishing up there a lot.

We were riding in the Rhino and Sienna was holding one of my hands and one of Garrett's. I had to get a picture. It was sweet.

One of her favorite things to do was throw rocks in the lake. Or in any other puddle we found.

We took a drive to check out another lake close by and on the way I spotted this waterfall so we went to check it out.

There were these little chipmunks outside of the trailer. Sienna loved them. She called them squirrels. I'm not sure what they're supposed to be called. Sienna would throw crackers and they would come and get them. She was always looking out the window for squirrels and she would get so excited to see them. There were some birds that would come around also that she would feed.

It was so cold while we were there. In the morning when we went fishing it was around 55-60. On top of that it was windy so we were freezing! It's ok though cause fishing isn't really my thing.

Cutest thing ever. She didn't really like the life jacket.

Fishing with her Dora pole in Grandma and Grandpa's boat.

We did a little fishing from the shore. I didn't get any pictures of the fish that Garrett or Ron or Marlene caught. Sienna liked to look at them went they brought them back to the trailer. She helped Ron put the fish in a bag. It surprised me that she touched them. We had a lot of fun. Sienna liked it. She really liked staying with Grandma and Grandpa Sparks in their trailer.

On our drive there were sunflowers on the side of the road for a long time. They were so pretty. We would've taken a picture of Sienna in them but she was in a bad mood when we were driving by them. The rest of the drive she did pretty good.

She's Amazing

This post is a few weeks over due but oh well. I wanted to get a cute picture of Sienna with clothes on but it was harder than I thought. I never think to take a picture before we leave to go somewhere then when we get home she asks to be naked. When she was getting potty trained she was only in her panties all the time so now she never wants clothes on. And whenever we're home she takes her hair out. I couldn't get a picture of her smiling normal but I was lucky just to get her to be still for a second. Anyways...the title says she's amazing because about a week after she turned two she got potty trained and gave up the binky. She caught on to potty training really well. One day during potty training she was looking for a binky and we couldn't find one anywhere. So she went down for a nap without it and slept as long as she normally does. I thought, maybe this will be the time to take away the binky. So we did. We later found a couple around the house and hid them before she saw them. She asked for it for a couple weeks after we took it away and we just told her that it was lost. She's done really well without it and knows that she doesn't have one anymore. She likes the fact that she's a big girl now with no diapers or binkies. She's such an awesome kid. So far her being a two year old is the funnest stage yet. She's so smart and talks so well. She has a really good memory too. Her favorite is Dora. She says a lot of things in Spanish inlcuding hi, friends, stars, up, delicious, and probably more. She can also pretty much count to ten in Spanish. I'm going to make my blog into a book instead of scrapbooking so I try to put everything on here that we want to remember. She always says stuff to us that we say to her all the time. She says, you're sooo cute! And I love you sooo much! She gives good kisses and hugs and usually likes to cuddle on the couch while she's watching tv. She calls me sweety and sweatheart and cute girl like I call her all the time. She has a really good imagination and pretends that her toys are all kinds of different things. She loves to take care of her babies and feed them. She loves real babies too. Every time we're in public and she sees a baby seat she wants to see the baby. If we ever get her a little brother or sister I know she'll be good with it. She really does help me around the house a little bit. She throws things away and puts clothes in the hamper and she loves to help me transfer the laundry. She also likes to take care of us. If I hurt myself she'll kiss it for me. The other day I got in the car and hit my shoulder on the corner of the door because I always do dumb stuff like that and I said ow, I hurt my arm. She said you hurt your arm? When we get home I'll kiss it for you. She likes to ask a million questions about anything and everything. I try to be patient and answer them but sometimes like when I'm trying to get out in a crowded intersection I just have to tell her to stop with the questions for a minute. And she'll ask the same things over and over again. Every day she asks me where all her family is. Where daddy, grandmas, grandpas, alan, lyndsey, jaxon, etc. is. Ok, this is getting long. I guess I should blog more often then it won't be such long posts. All I every post about is Sienna anyways so I don't know how interesting it is to anyone else but she is our life. She'll like looking at the book of my blog because it will be all about her! I put all of her pictures that we've taken of her so far in photo albums and she loves to look at them. Ok, the end.

Sienna's 2!

*Lots of pictures*

Sienna turned two on Friday, July 9th. Garrett was off so he got to spend the day with us. We started her birthday off with blueberry muffins (her favorite).

Around lunchtime we went to the ice cream shop on main street to have ice cream with Lyndsey.

I brought home her cake later that afternoon and she loved it. She said, "thank you momma, soo much. Soo sweet." I'm not kidding, she's the sweetest kid ever. All she wanted to do is look at her cake and she asked if she could lick it. She couldn't wait to eat it.

This is her being silly before we left for her party.

It was so humid all day.

So we planned to have the party at the park. My mom had a lady bring a bouncy castle and it would've been really fun but it looked like a storm was going to come in and the lady was a little wary about putting it up. She started putting it up anyways and right when she got the thing up a big gust of wind came through and she kind of freaked out and took it down. So we were afraid it was going to be bad weather so my in-laws were nice enough to let us all crash their house and have the party there.

It turned out to be lots of fun for her.

She loves the Dora, Boots, and Diego characters that came on her cake. She was dipping them in her cake and ice cream and licking them off. I washed them and she's been taking them everywhere we go.

She got lots of presents.

The weather turned out to be nice but it was still a fun party even though we couldn't have the bouncy house. I can't believe two years has gone by since I had her. She's the best kid. She's super sweet. Of course she still has her two year old moments too though. She likes to take care of everyone and loves babies. She's been talking really well this whole year. She communicates like she's much older and she remembers everything. She's known her colors for about 6 months now and she can count to 12. She likes to sing songs like popcorn popping, sunbeam and twinkle twinkle little star. We love her so much!

3rd of July

The 3rd of July is my mom's birthday so we went out to eat with the family then went back to my parents house to have cake. Sienna and Bryden really like each other and I think they'll be best buds soon. They're a year and three days apart in age. Sienna loves to take care of Bry but soon it's going to seem like they're the same age. Me, Garrett, and Sienna and Shelby and Bryden were outside at my parents before the fireworks started doing sparklers. We thought the kids might like them but they weren't too impressed.

Garrett always has fun doing his own fireworks. I'm always afraid that he's going to get hurt or light something on fire.

We had fun with my Papa and his wife Linda who were in town. They live in Utah and we don't get to see them much. My papa was dancing around with a sparkler to entertain Sienna. She thinks he's hilarious. We all do. He also did a roman candle thing that Garrett gave him. But it wasn't a normal type of roman candle. It was shooting out these big blasts of firecrackers and it shocked us all. He was just sitting in his chair shooting them then he thought they were done so he turned to look at us and the roman candle was pointing towards my parents wall and another one came out and shot right at the wall. I was a little scared the whole time but we were all laughing so hard and Sienna thought it was awesome. She told him to do it again.

Then the fireworks started and Sienna liked them but only sat and watched them for a few minutes. After that she just wanted to go up and down the slide.

This is her saying cheese!

Sliding down.

And back up again. It was a little different having the fireworks and celebration on the 3rd of July but not too much. Yesterday on the 4th we had pie at Garrett's parents house and sang happy birthday to the USA. Sienna's all about the birthdays now and says happy birthday to everyone. She's going to have so much fun on her birthday I hope. It's coming up soon!

Sesame Street Live!

About a week ago my parents and I took Sienna to see Sesame Street Live! She loves Elmo and she loved the show. At first only Big Bird came out and Sienna was saying, "Elmo, where are you?" At first she was waving to all of them. The whole time she was clapping and dancing and she was just hooked on it. She was really good.

My camera battery died during the intermission but at the end I think all of the kids were getting kind of restless and they all started standing the isles and Sienna was out there dancing and jumping around and hugging kids. I didn't get any pictures of it though. She still talks about when she saw Elmo dancing. She's so lucky she has grandparents that will take her to do fun things.

Our trip to Mesa

I didn't get a lot of great pictures because I couldn't get Sienna's face because she was too busy looking at the fish. Last Thursday and Friday we went down to Mesa. We stayed at Garrett's parents condo and my parents and Lyndsey and her boyfriend stayed at the Buttes. The condo was kind of under construction because it got flooded and so there was only flooring in two rooms and the furniture was all over the place so we could only go in one bedroom and the adjoining bathroom. It wasn't too bad because we weren't there very much. Sienna did really good staying in the two rooms with carpet. The first day we were there we shopped and went to the Arizona Sea Life Aquarium in Arizona Mills Mall. It was pretty cool. Sienna liked seeing all of the fish.

This is Lyndsey and Cole in the part where the whole tunnel was glass and there were fish swimming all around us.

They had different places where you could stick your head in to look like you're in the tank with the fish.

Later that day Garrett, Sienna, Lyndsey, and Cole went swimming at their hotel. Me and my mom went shopping. We met up that night and had dinner. The next morning Garrett and my dad went golfing bright and early. Me and Sienna headed over to the Buttes and picked up my mom and Lyndsey and Cole and went to the Chandler mall. Me, Sienna, and my mom rode the little train on the bottom floor of the mall. She saw it and had to ride it. She really liked it. Garrett and my dad met up with us at the food court for lunch then I did some more shopping. My parents took Sienna on the train again. She was very spoiled by her grandma and grandpa while we were there with chocolate milk, candy, ice cream, cookies, and train rides. After that Garrett, me, and Sienna went back to my parents hotel and went swimming. Sienna got more and more used to the water as time went by. At first she was scared just to get in the pool with us holding her. Lyndsey, Cole, and my parents met us by the pool and we just had fun and relaxed. They had a water slide that was fun. Sienna was scared but went down with us a few times. Lyndsey, Cole, and Garrett went down a lot. Garrett and Cole were trying to find every way to go down to make it faster and more fun. The lifeguard was letting them go down head first. We stayed out at the pool for a long time. I think it was almost four hours. It was nice. Then we had to head home so we went to Jack in the Box and came home. We had a fun time. It's the closest thing to a vacation we're going to have for a while. Now Garrett's gone to Black River with his brothers, mom, and three nephews. We can't wait til he gets home tomorrow.

Golfing

On Friday Garrett got off work early so we went golfing around 5:00. Last summer/fall we took Sienna out to the golf course a few times and then once this year Garrett took her out there with him while he chipped and hit balls and she loved it. So we bought her her own golf clubs at Wal-Mart and when we told her we were going to go golfing she was so excited. She carried her clubs out to the car and was ready to go. So the first hole she got out and wanted to do golfing with daddy as she says it. This is how she hits the ball.

She had a lot of fun throwing rocks and stuff in the water. She was eating a carrot and threw it in the water so the fishies could eat it. She would not leave her shoes on the whole time we were there. She saw a bunny, squirrel, and some birds. She liked riding in the golf cart and pushed the pedal down on her own one time after Garrett got out and we were sitting in it. Whenever we would stop she would get out and explore or golf with daddy.

She loved it the whole time and this is what she did when we were at our car and it was time to go home. She didn't want to get out of the cart.
